It's the latest iteration of the 911 - brand new for 2013; a major redesign, but still very much the beautiful and iconic 911. It is the best generation yet.

Did you order the optional "Herbie" package complete with a "53" on the door?

I do like the 991, the new headlights (seen below) are much improved over the 996:

My GTS is/was fast, but this thing is a freaking rocket. I've only got on it once on an on-ramp and it literally scared me. Those of you that know me well and my driving style will know it's something special when I say it scared me. The PDK is the best transmission I've ever experienced, bar none.
That is saying something. Jim is the one who leads us on our "Spirited" drives, and usually leaves everyone a long ways behind.

Congrats Jim, looking forward to seeing it in person. Sounds like you have dang near every option available.

Finally got a chance to take a few pictures. I'm still reading the owners manual and learning how to set up a few things. Almost everything is adjustable; all lighting, tire pressure for light loads (comfort) vs full load or sport driving, etc

Very nice Jim.... Love the new 991 styling...and after driving Chris F's new 2014 Cayman S...I've suddenly got the bug for another Porsche....(something along the lines of the 2010 Sport Classic)...but sadly that one is only Euro..

congrats...

Shes a beauty Jim. I think she wants to take a roadtrip to Sharks and one 991 to St. Charles. You and Roger and anyone should come down. We'd love to have you attend.

Beautiful Jim! But time to relocate the garden implements away from that side of the garage.
Is it really that much bigger than the 928, or is it the perspective?

Congrats on your beautiful new ride! The new 911 is truly a sweet looking car, the best they have designed and I am sure well made to give many years of enjoyment.

But let's not get carried away, Porsche claims 0-60 in 4.3 and some reviews get 3.9. That is very respectable but shouldn't scare anyone. I am on a quicker vehicle everyday and find it mundane. Murf's wife's car was posting 3.8 many years ago, so relax, and enjoy.
