Default Swap 80 euro heads on my 84

So I just got a 1980 euro s engine for $500 dollars complete. I've owned my 84 928 for almost a year now and added s4 brakes and an alternator upgrade from 928motorsports. But I'm new to this. So can I run the heads and cam with the 84 intake? I don't have a CIS system so I can't use the intake from the euro engine. Also would it help to advance the timing with this set up? Just looking for some more HP. What kind of HP would this make not using the euro intake?

They will fit no problem and expect to make at least 270 HP. Add a S2 intake assembly (it supports l-jet style injectors) and expect to make close to 300. You will only need to advance the spark a litttle as you are not messing with the fueling, only with the compression so 4 degrees would be a good place to start. Adjust the timing to the normal timing and do a good top end refresh while you are in there; also do a timing belt and waterpump change as you will need to remove the parts in the way anyway. This also means no regular gas and only premium from here on out because of the higher compression you will get with the Euro heads. The only difference in the bottom end are the pistons, they only raise the compression .5 or so. Get some S3 exhaust manifolds too as they will add at least 15 HP and let the engine breath better. Have fun tuning.

Blich123 - Please keep this post updated with your progress and what you learn. I have a friend with a trashed Euro S that I expect he will part out at some point.
