Default Visiting Portland, spotted a 928

I'm in Portland, OR for a few days off. Today we drove to Cannon Beach, on the way back stopped at a winery in Nehalem and from there took Route 53 to Route 26. Holy cow, that Rt 53 is a driver's dream. Curve after curve, famtastic stuff. Unfortunately for me, I was driving a rental Subaru Legacy.

Soon after I got onto Rt 26 east, I spotted a 928 going west. Time was about 4 PM. It happened so fast, All I could tell was it was original body style, maybe gray or gray-green.

It's possible that was me. I was on 26 going west to the Cornelius Pass DEQ about 3:30. But I have a GTS, not the early body, and the color is Amazon Green.

Welcome to Oregon. This is the best time of year here.

I lived in Portland for awhile. My car leaked.

That made me remember a video I watched about the updated Jeep Wrangler Intro a couple years back that was filmed in and around Portland. Seems they have a lot of driver's roads there and the countryside is very attractive.

@3:40 and from 11:30 on, they even mention a winery in one of these vids.

That's funny. I was driving the same way, Seaside to Portland, at the same time, and I saw the same car. (I was in a two tone mid-80s GMC pickup.)

I thought it was gold-ish, but it was hard to tell in the forest shadow.

IIRC, it was an early '80s S, missing the front spoiler?

I thought to myself the tires looked too narrow for the car (stock).

Yup, that was the one. It was cloudy and I'm a bit color challenged, so there you go.

It's beautiful country but it rained most of my stay which kinda put a damper on things. Nice place to visit, but I'd never survive in such cold summers :-)

Normally it only rains in Portland once a year. It starts in September and ends in May.
