I am interested now in supercharging the car and also adding a RMB rear muffler by pass making it have a Euro V8 sound rather than American V8 sound.
Anyways how much power can I get out of S/C stage 2 on a 928 S4 ?
I want a conservative boost level, does the ECU have to be tuned ? I dont want to run lean ?
Whats the best way of tuning ?
Keep in mind the car is ROW spec.
I saw 928 motorsports and I like the clean install they have.

You can't get the Ferrari sound no matter how hard you try. That's a flat crank engine sound.

Supercharging is a great bang for buck mod. My car acts just like a normal 928 untill you hit the gas. Then it is just a multiplying factor as you get up into higher rpms and more boost. There are some good kits out there so make sure you do your homework for the best choice for you. I am very happy with my VCB kit. It is a well engineered kit that coveres all the parameters for dependable long term and safe use. Sharktuning is very important to get everything dialed in correctly. Tim Murf makes a great kit as well that is proven dependable.

If you want a conservative boost level, then you will only need a stage 1, which will get about 450hp
When purchasing a "kit", it should include everything needed to supercharge your car. Meaning both the computer chips, filters, pipes, brackets, supercharger, ect....
+1 on installing the x-pipe. This will help both power and sound. You can do more from there if desired. The RMB will give you quite a bit more bark!!

most of the sc vendors will include new chips (need two).
The best tune is done on your car with a shark tuner, need to find a local or drive it to someone who knows how to use one.
Edit: also fix all oil leaks and replace all old rubber hoses/fuel lines as the added power has a tendency to find any and all weak spots![Wink](https://rennlist.com/forums/images/smilies/wink.gif)

Here is a 1988 S4 Automatic dyno from July 23rd.
This is our Stage 1 kit. All numbers at the rear tire, of course.
Where a 15% drive-train loss seems pretty well agreed-upon by all for the 5-speed; there is some discussion whether the automatics have a 18% or a 20% drive train loss.
So I will provide both.
This car produced 394 HP at the tire, so
> if the drive train loss is 20% then it is 492.5 HP at the engine.
> if the drive train loss is 18%, then it is 480 HP at the engine.

There is only 1 SC kit that I would install and that is from Tim Murphy.

None of the other kits have the same level of detail in them!
