Default vinyl vs leather seat kits

I am considering re upholstering my front seats....
There is a kit that sells on ebay from Auto Interior Kits for $380 and I'm curious if anyone has taken the plunge.
Or I can buy a kit from the usual suspects for about $1400 in leather. I would prefer to do the work myself. I re upholstered
the rear seats in black vinyl using the Auto Interior Kit and it worked out fine. The front seats however a much bigger challenge.

Perfect!
Thanks. This is what I had hoped for. Yes they are not "seat covers" you have to take the old seats apart which is not all that hard. I'm not apposed to vinyl as it last forever. Anyone remember MBTEX?

Imitation rhino hide It's good stuff. Leather kits may be had for $700 from ebay sellers. As it's not a convertible, I would expect leather to also last a very long time.
