Default Living with computers - Porsche 928 parts

Back in 1961 when I started to work on the Apollo program, we did a great deal of the design and analysis using a slide rule (except what was done on the IBM 360). For those who have watched the series about Apollo (When Man Left the Earth" or "Apollo 13" you saw engineers "slipping the stick" as we used to call it, and man got there and back largely using slide rules.

Now, you need a computer just to know your own name (almost) and you surely are in big trouble if your computer crashes.

I'm in big trouble!!!

My computer crashed a couple months ago. No problem, I thought, since I have one of those services that saves your hind end. Didn't work in one case. The listing that I had on the computer showing illustrations of all 928S4 parts is no longer there!! I didn't even realize it until today, a couple months later.

So, I need to repair the rear suspension and need to look up some parts. If there are different lists, the car is a 1987 928S4 five speed.

Would one of the kind gentlemen who can tell me how to put that illustrated parts list back in place please give an old man a hand.

Thanks much.

Barney

P.S. For those who helped me out about putting pictures of Wyoming on my page, I'mm still gonna do it; just taking the time that a 78 year old takes.

There is a link in the New Visitor...FAQ thread that will get you to a full on-line version of the parts list.

You can download and save the file.
