Default FS: Modified GT Cams - Elgin grind intake, stock GT exhaust

I have a set of modified GT cams that I dont think I will use, going a different direction with my build. These are a set of GT cams that were sent out to Elgin for their performance grind on the intake, and the exhaust left as stock GT specs. One of the GT exhaust cams is new-old-stock, and has never been installed in an engine.

I am not interested in splitting the cams, unless there is a buyer for both the exhaust and intake cams.

Its hard to price this, as GTS cams are rare as hens teeth, and Elgin really doesnt want to grind any more of the S3 cams, so this may be the only set like this around. This set has also not been run in an engine since being sent to Elgin - so practically new.

I will start this at $2,200 or best offer. As I mentioned, pricing is tough on these, so make me an offer if you think I am off-base with my initial price.

Thanks
Hans

The intake cams have the Elgin 65-6 profile, exhaust are standard GT. Very similar to the cam set in Dennis K's car (which was modified S3 cams).

As these were GT cams to start, they will have the correct timing marks though for easier alignment.

Hans,

65-6 = how many degrees duration and at what lift..? The Porsche manual has the cam spec for the GT Exh cams and lift and duration are clearly specified..

Thanks

Out of memory that intake is 260 @ seat, 222 @ 1mm, and 217 @0.05" with max lobe lift at 10.4 mm. That out of memory, search might be more reliable.

I have the same cams as Dennis (so the same as these) in my RogerBox GTS - gained an amazing amount of power. No issues with idle after STing.
Someone with a GTS needs to jump all over these or I will 8>)

That's good to hear, that has been the big question I've had from a couple people as to how it would idle on an Auto. If they are the same as yours, then we are good to go with them.

Damnit, If my truck motor didn't cost the same as these cams I'd be on them.

Tuomo, Hans, thanks..!

Hans, I'll get out my calculator and check some things. I'll let you know if they can work for the other build I have planned..

Rats, how much additional power would it make for the GTS?

Let me know if current buyer backs out. Thanks,

About 50HP - easily 25 to 35 RWHP - the car comes alive.
