Sunroof Headliner Wearing
I finally got around to fixing my sunroof (bad contacts in the switch that needed re-shaping) and it works great. However, I've been noticing that the sunroof headliner is already starting to wear from the forward and aft sliding motion of the sunroof.
Is this a common issue? I tried searching and didn't find any related results. Thanks!

Is the wear at the rear, front or equally?
Rear wear: The rear of the inner sunroof panel is held up by some plastic felt 'pegs' that have felt 'feet' that run on the inner roof panel behind the sunroof. If these wear down the sunroof panel would ride more on the sides of the sunroof opening.
Front wear: The front of the panel is positioned by three screws that have some vertical adjustment - it is possible that your panel needs to be lifted a bit at the front.

Thanks for the info. The wear is even from front to back of the panel and concentrated on the sides. Ill take a closer look at any adjustments that can be made. To be honest, I haven't really looked into too much yet, but I was curious if others have had the same problem.

I have the same issue with the inside leather cover of the sunroof. Before last winter, I treated all interior leather including the headlining and sunroof inside with special leather treatment. And it's still fine, without any wear being visible! The stuff I use for my leather is made from the sort of grease stuff that's in the whool of sheep. A guy locally makes this himself and it really keeps the leather well, appart from allready shrunk leather.
At least the stuff keeps the sunroof inside 'fatty' and thereby hiding any wear on the leather.
