Apparently I need to figure what its worth then post an ad. Sorry for taking up your time.

since its a used on the track,
you may not be getting top dollar as compared to one thats kept in a garage and driven on the weekends,
I also think you should post a link to the pictures or post the pictures ,
less people will want to try to search for something like pictures for your car.

Race Car
Two more fun tracks days and a car a little more track able maybe within my reach. But my car needs to be sold first. Search by my name to see the car what do you guys think I should list it for?
Latest additions are Timing belt done two months ago (porkensioner installed) a set of low mile used koni (internally adjustable) with stock springs, delrin rack bushings and lizard short shift. SS RMB but stock muffler available along with homemade h-pipe for sound, again stock cat available. 74k miles, LSD, 5spd. I have a wide selection of wheels to choose from also, fenders are rolled (any cracked paint has been touched up)
Indrischrot (guards red) over linen (very clean) and well taken care of. Ac does not work but everything else does.

C'mon, you know what you think it's worth. What will make you feel whole when it's on the trailer and going down your drive? Doesn't matter what I think.

Folks, as many of you have observed, posts on various forums have been the subject of considerable controversy and numerous complaints. In part this may be due to the fact that many of us don't know the rules. Few if any have looked at the already published guidelines and the Terms Of Service we all accepted when we registered.
Herein you will find a fairly concise summary of the "rules of the road". This Forum will be open for dialog for the moment at least, in the hope that communications between us will foster a better understanding and a stronger community.

Rennlist Posting Guidelines:
Content: All material posted or linked to, must be G rated. In other words, use only language and post material suitable for the home or office. Do not post foul language, racial epithets or sexually explicit content in any form. At no time will insults or attacks on an individual be tolerated. Racial slurs, epithets or denigrating references to race, color, creed or sexual preference will not be tolerated. This general content rule applies to posts, signatures, avatars and links within posts.
The exception to this rule is in the off-topic section (only available to paying members) whereby the content may be a PG-13 rating (some colorful language may be reasonably utilized), however such content may not be used in an insulting or attacking manner.
Special Rule About Using Rennlist for Buying or Selling Firearms: Advertising, buying or selling firearms on Rennlist is prohibited. It violates IB policy and in addition contraves contractual terms relating to their acquistion of certain other websites.
Advertising by Members: Paying Members (as opposed to “Users”) may advertise or link to an ad to buy or sell personal property. Site Sponsors will be held to posting according to rules established from time to time by Internet Brands covering the type, size and frequency of ads. In general a maximum of 4 threads per month may be posted. Note that responding to questions by members of a forum is not considered advertising. Threads offering multiple items may be edited to delete items no longer available. Adding items will be considered a new post and count against the 4 per month limit as will "bumping" a thread, i.e., adding a post to increase the visibility of a thread which has fallen off the screen due to inactivity.
Small Business Sponsors are limited to one (1) thread per month.

So as a paying member I can ask how much you think my cars are worth, but not as a user?
To me its worth 25k but what do you think?
Now can. Users tell me what its worth or no. I've never fully read the rules, but always knew ads need prices and members can only have ads.

Yes, I had it right and Steve had it wrong. He then took it out of context to tell me I can't ask. So I retracted. Now MrMerlin points out that I was correct.
I realize that its not new, but Steve was pushing me out, to me that's not very nice for a non-paying "user" to do. I support here, he doesn't. Even if he has been here longer and you may like him better.

It's probably worth more to you than what the market will bear
an 87 S4 with 74K somewhat modified running Wally World oil in my estimation is worth
$14K +/- $3K depending on condition and maintenance
now is the best time a year to sell at top dollar... lots of newbie enthusiasts tend to appear late spring and early summer.

Not pushing anyone anywhere, just quoting the person who founded the site; I do not see how you interpret Stan's inclusive quote from the original source which I took mine, to support you, the words are the same, but have it your way: to quote what you edited out, "lighten up" it's not that hard and I think you are disingenuous on two counts, not knowing the rules and not knowing what you think it is worth. The creds in your sig line would say otherwise. I have been here longer than you and for years I have been a paid member, no way for you to know, when or how long I was a paid member, you are really splitting hairs. Man up -- pick a number and negotiate down.

I may be wrong (have been before, and will be again), but I didn't interpret Curt's original statement as an "OFFERING" for sale. I interpreted it as he was 'thinking' about selling it, and was asking for advice from the experts here at Rennlist.
Seemed like soliciting information, not soliciting offers. I'm sure if he makes a decision, he will post with a price and consider offers.
Just my thoughts on the thread, and haven't seen any negative posts from the moderators.
