Default COLD START INJECTOR QUESTION

I'm about to take on the job of replacing my cold-start injector on my '83 euro. From where I sit there seems to be 2 ways to go about it---#1 pull the entire intake box to get at the mounting bolts, OR #2 remove the oil separator hoses, un-bolt the warm-up regulator and then remove the cold-start injector with the intake box in place. The question- which is better?? (I'm a believer in not removing anything I don't have to)
