I am about to order an interior dye kit from Leatherique but am unsure of the proper color. I do not have the original owners manual or the under hood sticker supposedly showing the interior color codes. I believe the seats are cashmere beige 940 and the headliner and dash are dark brown 934 or maybe 924. Does anyone know if these interior colors were offered in 1982? Can the proper color codes be tracked down with the VIN? Thanks!

Found this from an earlier posting by DougM:
Leatherette
50B Beige, 87S Brown, 30B Blue, 43S Black
Leather
50B Beige, 3NG Brown, 30B Dark Blue, 80S Red, 60S Hannibal Grey, 95S Papyrus White, 20S MInt Green, 1AJ Black, 2LB Burgundy
I think this was for the '82 year.
BTW, I used leather dye from the shoe store to do a fantastic job of changing beige to navy blue in my '82.

Cashmere was a pretty late model interior color (90 o 91 onwards, I believe without looking it up). Champagne was available in 87 and 88; possibly in 86 (again, I'd have to look up the exact year when it came out.
I have the full color charts of 81 and 83, but only exterior colors for 82. A good picture of your interior would help narrow things down.
You may have grey-beige (as shown in the 83 color chart), or the simple beige and brown colors shown in the 81 color chart.

My gear box is out and being rebuilt at Greg's in Anaheim. So the car is not in my garage now. I will try to get some interior pictures to you today. I'm glad I didn't order the dye, it would have been all wrong. Thanks!

I actually used Leatherique for all the colors.
I had to send a small sample from under the seats and panels. The color turned out great but is very labor intensive.
Make no mistake, to do it right takes a full week, it should be done in an air conditioned space and you should use the sealer on the seats to protect the new color from abrasion.
But my interior looks brand new and I'm very happy with the results.
