Window help requested
My driver side window will roll up to half way, but then seems to come out of track, bogging down in front it appears. If I apply just slight pressure with my finger to the rear upper corner of the glass however, it will continue up to the full closed position.
What has likely broken inside? I have to open the door this weekend anyway to replace the dreaded door handle linkage.
Thanks -- MM

There are a few possibilities..
1, the bolts that mount the motor assemby have lossened (unlikely)
2, the roller on the assembly arm may be binding in the track ( the track is attached to the window itself)
3, the track could have some crud in it, or could be separating from the window causing it to bind.
4, the guide bar could be loose at the top mount point, or the weld is broken, and loose at the bottom.
5, the motor and drive gear may need cleaned and re-greased.

most likely you should buy new window track guides,
I will bet one is loose and they are probably worn .
also the track roller could be bad or worn as well

I located my issue when my window stop working, looks like before someone tampered the roller that goes with the arm. For the moment I have a wooden stick holding my window up while I wait for my bolt to come in

MM,
If you have not yet read this tutorial, it will be very helpful to do it and diagnose your issue.
http://www.kondratyev.com/porsche/te...ndow_frame.htm
On this same site it shows how to remove the door panel, in case you need it.
I've gone thru this myself and was straight forward.
While you are in there, if you have any electrcial issues with that door, mirror, door foot light and red jamb light, this will be a perfect time to address them and have a look at the wiring coming through the black tube.
