Congrats on ownership.

What they all said, plus generally these cars never are fixed by a tuneup in any conventional sense of a plugs and wires type service. Wiring issues to sensors, or bad sensors, vacuum leaks, something nasty in the fuel system or fuel.

Welcome and congrats on the car. There's a few things that will really ruin your day if you don't take care of them right away. Timing belt, Thrust bearing and fuel lines re the three that come to mind first.

And it does go like:

Correct color, nicely done. Welcome.

Now, don't start the engine again until the belt job(at minimum) is done. More than one barn find 928 has been damaged by a blown belt after sitting or minimal running for many years.

Get all the service done, and bring it to the DC area 928 gathering this fall. First one in quite a while that is really easy to remember - date is 9/28!!!! The name is 928 Frenzy.

Look forward to meeting you there and seeing your great find. And, as James said, check out the Club - lots of great owners are members, and it helps support the Frenzy (I think this is the 15th year for it).
