Default 1982 928 no start

O.K. Purchased car that didn't run for at least a couple of years. Had fuel pump issue , new relay fresh gas car drives good. No start next day. Had no spark....checked again and I have spark and injectors pulsing. Still no start ? Go thru LH pinpoint at connector . I have power and ground with good voltage and low ohm for ground.9 . Can green wire make everything goofy?

Yep !!! but if you have spark and fuel it should be firing.....unless you lost compression timing belt issue.

US or Euro? You should either be CIS (Euro) or L-jet (US), but not LH as you indicated in your first post. No "green wire" with LH. But, yes, a faulty green wire can cause intermittent spark. Turn the engine over to TDC and pull the cam covers. Verify valve timing. Post the results of your compression check.

US its L-Jet .....in a panic....I have compression....spark and fuel....noid light blinking. And it still won't come close to starting. Sprayed carb clean down throttle body still don't start.....and plugs are bone dry when I pull them after cranking a while . I did take instrument cluster out and fixed some burnt out bulbs ?

Do you still have fuel pressure? If you kneel by the rear bumper and listen, can you hear the fuel pump buzz briefly when someone turns the ignition switch on? Does it buzz while the starter is spinning the engine?

Do you have fuel in the tank? Is it fresh?

I would disconnect the battery.....then go thru all the electrical wires, 14 pin, grounds, relays and fuses...anything electrical starting related wires, coil, caps and plugs etc.... and reconnect the battery and go from there

Hey Wallyp , the fuel pump is running when key is on. If I remove fuel rail cap I have good fuel volume . And It has 4 gallons fresh fuel. It seems to run when ever key is in run position or start position. I don't show any tach signal. Swapped fuel injection relay and it did stumble and idle briefly . I did have ground and voltage at l-jet . So Friday morning I will go thru it again. I did move green wire....have a gut feeling that is what it is .Plugs don't get wet after long cranking period

O.k got it to run....very poorly. Die when giving it gas. Seems like fuel pressure . He did run this pump with out fuel in tank. Possible ruined pump after initial start up. I am going to check fuel pressure and get new relay for injection ....it's the original one. More main thence then any thing. This thread seemed exactly like what my car did
