I'm not as technically inclined on these specific cars as some of the other guys on her but Mac, that gauge does worry me. The picture that was posted of the fire caused by a gauge was a fluid filled gauge and it was not the fitting that failed if I remember correctly. Just be careful and safe man. I would carry a fire extinguisher at all times.

Thanks for posting this, although it will, I am sure, change no opinions here.
While trying to track down the part number for my horsepower decreaser,
I asked a product specialist @ K&N if they have ever addressed the issue with oil contaminating the MAF.
This is his reply:
We have not only addressed it, but we have proven it to be impossible.

Why should it? Who's so easy to take it on the vendor's advice alone?
It's coached with a ****load of "if you do it right" crap..and K&N knows if you do it wrong (too easy to do) you have problems.
Who do you trust..a dude that will NOT argue against his own marketing, or an endless like of oil fried MAF's on a workbench?
