Do the caps and the resultant fix also apply to the early 32V cars, 85/6?
My Platinum daily driver has developed a pretty loud tick from the right rear cam cover.

I don't believe it applies before 87, when the cams were shortened. The plugs go where the missing extended cam bearing was.
Some others may know the exact years, and when the plugs were replaced by pins.

Follow up: although the oil change stopped the noise, it came back after a while, albeit intermittently. I added swepco and the clacking stopped within a minute. Put 100 miles on it so far and it's never sounded better. But a concern... warmed up idle oil pressure hovers around 1.5 bar. Off idle 5 so that is good. Have not done plugs yet but I don't see how that would affect pressure. I need to do some research on the pressure, from what I have seen I should be around 3.

Sounds perfect to me, well done.
