Phone Dials
I just saw a set of 16 inch OEM dials with tires on ebay for $400 and a set of 993 hollow twists 8x18 and 10x18 on craigslist for $700. Are these fair prices for wheels needing cosmetic refinishing? Sorry, I'm new to buying used Porsche rims.

what year car are they going on and what are the offsets?
For the 928 the factory offset or ET is 65.
So if you found a front wheel with an offset of 45 then the rim would be further away from the hub seating surface. ( this wheel wouldnt work for a 928)
for the front of a 928 ET 50 is the least preferable,
and any lower will rub the fender depending on your tire selection.
there are good wheels in 18 inch that are ET 58 these are the wheels pictured in my avatar.
For the rear wheels you can go lower than the regular ET of 65 to about a ET of 45.
higher # ETs will usually have room for a spacer so if you fitted a ET 58 then you could fit a bolt on spacer of about 17MM, this will push the wheel out to the fender edge.
some of the 928s already have spacers so posting your year will give you better results/answers

The phone dials on ebay have a good set of tires on them BTW, and I thought they looked good enough to not need refinishing.
I would say that $100 each is the typical asking price for 16" phone dials. However they don't seem to sell fast at that price. I took my time and missed an opportunity at a nice set for $100 for all four.

Sorry, the ET for the turbo twists are 52 in front and 65 in back. Will use 225/40 in front 265/35 in back. Thanks. The 16 inch dials with tires on ebay did look decent and look at have stock ET 65 all around, mine are trashed and these look much better. Should make someone a nice set, so i guess $400 for all isn't such a bad price, but probably can get them a little cheaper with the make an offer button option. Thanks for everyone's input.
