Hello All,
I have just pulled the alternator out of my 83s Euro automatic. It is the original Paris Rhone. I have several questions. Can you get a direct replacement, same model, same type, same mounting? If not, what is the best solution without having to do any modifications?
I am trying to do the work at home, without having to resort to professionals.

bump - I was confused by the number of wires going to the alternator - it was my first up close view of a Paris-Rhone. (edit: It had 4 wires - sounds from another list like it may have an external voltage regulator as the two additional ones did connect to the platic housing with brushes in it)
Whats the easiest aftermarket fitment alternative to a Paris Rhone? (no special brackets and simple wiring pigtail).
