Default Removing catalytic converter

My cat is buzzing and I think the interds are going bad. Anyway, if I cut out the cat and replace it with a straight pipe is there a source for this with a o2 sensor welded in? Thanks

The O2 sensor is pre-cat on all 928s, so just cut it between the O2 and cat, and you're good to go!

Sounds like a prime opportunity to replace the cat with a Motorsport of Utah x pipe.. depending on what kind of car you have.

Sorry, my bad. I have a 82 5 speed. I just changed the three exhaust gaskets while I was under the car and now it is buzzing. I will check all bolts before doing any cutting.

Do it the right way. Install manifolds from an 85/86 along with this Y-Pipe:

The absolute best power gain for the money with a 16V 928.

The '85/6 manifolds are a good mod. Be aware the Y-Pipe won't fit right with the later manifolds. The right side will need to be extended.
