lol, how is it that the 928 became the red-headed step-child of the porsche family?

Just reading some of Grooves posts lowers a persons intelligence, to believe anything he says is to show exactly how dumb one is.

Funny thing is the only thing his 356/911 does better than my 928 is leak oil.

Kind of going along with this topic, I was at the gas station in my 928 yesterday, and a little boy, no more than 10 years old, comes over to me and says "I like your car." "Thank you," I replied. He gets in the car one pump over from me, and his family drives off. After they leave, the woman (early 30s and rather unattractive) on the other side of them asks "What kind of car is that?" I tell her "Porsche 9-2-8." She says: "I thought they looked cooler than that." My response: "Some do."

Funny to get two comments from strangers, and have such a difference of opinions.

She likely had no clue what a 928 is.

Because it wasn't a derivative of the 356. A V8 in front? "Not a Porsche."

Now, of course, they make SUVs and luxury sedans but those have obvious 356 styling cues and sell, sell, sell. Not that those aren't nice vehicles, but people buy them for the marque value.

It's a shame that they will never appreciate what a great car the 928 is. If they had any kind of understanding of auto engineering they would see that the car was so ahead of its time. I just chock it up to ignorance.
