Default Short Shifter question

Anyone else create some new sware words while installing their short shifter ? Wow did that suck trying to keep the bushings from being destroyed while pushing it on the shafts, good news is the ball cup has no play and the coupler was replaced last year. Nice tight shifter .

Absolutely! It's a tight fit, and those split bushings make it a real chore, one edge always wants to poke out. At least you don't have to reuse the original springs, I think I would die of frustration if that were the case

Tried it at the last NY Tech session and loved it but the car has the typical OB crappy syncros even at 50k miles. I wanted to be able to go back to the factory pieces quickly if need be.
I used to run CNC multi way back in the day so I know what it took to engineer and make the Lizard shifter, Awesome piece really nice job !

I've got Colin's shifter on the car (thanks to SeanR!) and would have to say that once fitted and adjusted, makes for a nice experience. The install was straight forward and good directions with pictures even if we had to translate the Canadian English to American English....
It's quality stuff and no issues installing it with stressing anything.
