Gauge Placement Options
To pick your brains. Is there anyone out there who can direct me to a vendor or individual who sell's a mounting plate that I can use to add two additional gauges in the spot now occupied by my Cig lighter/ ashtray. I have been told it exist's and I have seen it in a picture somewhere but can't remember. I've spoken to Jim M about his but that was a custom job he did himself. I have an A-pillar arm version "not installed" and I'm not really sure I want to mount that right in my way. Can anyone point me in the right direction?
I am open to other suggestions for placement as well...
Thanks In Advance

I'm not aware of these being sold. I have seen a few, but always home made.
I went with the A pillar. I know many here hate the look, but I really like being able to see the gauges without taking my eyes off the road.

Most people I know with gauges there have just cut holes in a custom plate, or in the asjtray flap itself and plumbed in gauges.. Some did the A-Pillar when someone made a bunch of A-Pillars with 2 and 3 gauge pods.
I think Louie was looking at wiring gauges to be displayed in a TFT screen where the radio is located.
If you want to spend some $$$$ You can have a Stack/Motec/AIM/other dash wired to an ECU or senders from lots of gauges and displayed.. Several companies make data logger dashboards that are not very big, and could be built into a pod on top of the dashboard in the line of sight with all the time with as much data as you can handle. However, it is not cheap... (see link)
For 2 gauges, just make a plate from wood or metal, and mount the gauges..

Hope that helps,

Many Thanks for that link and for the other options offered. I guess the easiest way to handle this will be to just use find a piece of black plastic stock closely matching my my console and fabricated it up.
Continued gratitude.
