Does anyone stock modified dipstick tubes for catch-can drainback?

Not that I know of. But '88's, at least early ones, should have a plate next to the oil-level sensor connector that can be adapted for a drain-back fitting. It was the filler & separator-drain on the pre-S4 configuration.

Yep, he should have it. I bought up a few early drain back tubes and did the conversion on a couple cars, had planned one for mine but alas, someone put a GTS pan on it so I'll have to put a hole in it. Ended up buying 6 or so dip sticks to modify but have not done it yet. I want the oil return to be below the oil level for obvious reasons.

Bitchin, that'll be a larger drain back as well.

Thanks!

Mann has none of their fluid flow checkvalves in the US.

What optional check valves would you recommend?

I'm interested in an alternative as well, but through doing alot of searching I couldn't find anything.

Normal check valves require too much pressure to open it up, so gravity acting down on oil will not open the valve...

Why are you needing a check valve for oil return? Let gravity do its thing. If the return is below the oil level you won't have to worry about crank case pressure forcing that oil up the tube.

So what you're sayin, is that plate will have a line welted into it. that will then sit down below the oil line.

Got it.

Herman thanks for the offer but as luck would have it I found an alternative closer to home!

Metal Check Valve for Provent

I will try it out and report back! It even looks like the Mann one.
