But if this were the problem, surely there would be power at the white leads at the lights and at the two fuses in the CE, 24 & 25? There isn't on mine. Thanks

Hi all just thought I'd conclude this thread with an update. I got an auto electrician involved who after an hour or so of investigations with the wiring diagrams concluded the new relay I'd bought from Porsche was faulty. I went back to Porsche who were extremely sceptical but booked me in and tested the car in their workshop and indeed found the relay to be faulty. So they're replacing it for me next week. They wouldn't however cover the cost of my auto engineer so I suppose I just have to 'grin and bear it' who'd have thought a new relay would be faulty?! Anyway I'm happy that next week I should finally have my full beam back.

Is it Fixed?
Tim, did you finally get this problem fixed? I had exactly the same issue and tracked it down (solder crack in one of the dual headlamp relay's mounting pins). But several different things can cause your symptoms.
If yours are still inop, a few tests and a bit of analysis should isolate the problem.

Solved...but don't know how!
Hiya. There was lots of other work going on, which involved rooting around in the CE panel. One day it was suddenly working fine so I can only assume it was a bad connection in the CE panel. Thank you for your comment.
