Default air pump, cats etc

One of the winter projects on the GTS was to delete the air pump and all its connections to the air filter box and cats. The cats themselves are also being removed and replaced with an X pipe and modern hi-flow cats.

The parts are taking up valuable space in the garage so will consider sell or swap.

Rennlist rules are I have to post a price so lets start at $1000 and we'll go down from there

Malcolm - GLWS

What X-Pipe & Cats did you install (Roger's?) and what results? - I will do the same thing, Pump is history already - replaced with vacuum pump. Cats (and X) are next.

thx Alan.

I bought the X and cats from Roger; it is the Dave Lomas, Motorsport Utah unit. The air pump and all hoses etc are gone and the cats will be replaced in the next week or so.......wanted to give the garage floor time to warm up after our frigid winter before getting under the car

Hah! - opposite problem here - its just now getting to the point where the sweat dripping off your nose makes it impractical to work without AC in the garage...

Let me know your results - I won't be adding mine for months yet - fall project - but very interested to get your impressions of that set-up.

sure Alan, no worries.

I did drive Hermans GTS at 3rd Coast,Tx last fall who has the same set up as I'll have; X pipe, hi flow cats and RMB. Nice tone to the exhaust and great seat of the pants power.

BTW.........cats are SOLD

Malcolm - I assume you are also selling the exhaust check valve & air diverter valve as part of this too?

I have all that from my air-pump-ectomy in a box too. Think I'll keep it all for now though.

Yes, its all available as a complete SMOG kit for those who require.

IMHO the modern upgrades we can add to the 928 keep them running at optimum levels. Porsche did a fantastic job 30 years ago but many items can now be improved on.......I know you've added a few yourself
