you're right, not when warm or cold
only depress pedal for a hot motor or @ operating temperature in my 2 manuals.
Or not at all for CIS?

wrap it up....

I replaced the temp2 sensor the other day....now the car starts without depressing the pedal warm or cold.
Thanks for all the helpful advice!
