Beautiful! Guards Red can be tricky to match as it is so prone to fading. The older the car, the more pronounced the fading is. Looks like someone did a very good job.

Yes this color is very tricky to match but overall I am pretty pleased. Mounted it up today Victor. Finished pics coming soon.

Looks like a very good match with the Chrysler red?, I am pleasantly surprised.
Good job. And sharp 928!

Can I ask you a dumb question: how much does the bumper cover weigh?
I did not weigh it but about nothing would be real close.

With my naked eye I thought it would turn out OK but trust me I was real nervous that it would not. The color eye we used and the factory code were just so far off that I could not believe that was the best way to go. I know you were a little skeptical but believe me I do value your input very much. Final installed pics coming real soon.

Bumper back on and the Hot Rod is out abusing the streets again. It is pretty good for any casual observer but a trained eye would likely see a slight difference in shade. Overall I am happy with the project and thanks to all those that offered advice.

I have to say that I absolutely hated the idea of stapling the rubber stripping to the bumper prior to installation. I didn't get why Porsche did this until I actually saw it in person at the paint shop mine went to for freeway debris cracking the paint right off the bumper.

I thought the same thing when stapling mine, pretty low tech but works
