You have to make sure you get the correct offset and widths for your car.

'86 only came with front wheels. No worries...

that's where the term 2 wheel drive was coined.

Does anyone know off hand what year 911's or Boxster rims would fit on an 86 928?
I did find some wheels with this info...

Front tires: N1 205/55 ZR 17
Front rims: 7 Jx17 ET 55

Back tires: N1 235/50 ZR 17
Back rims: 8,5 Jx17 ET 40

From my experience all Boxster wheels will fit and most narrow body 911 wheels but you may need spacers for some. The fronts you have listed would work well but I'd say the rear wheel Offsts need to be greater. You would probably want to go with a bit wider wheel also on the rear if possible.

Ya, i kinda knew I wanted a 9" in rear at the least.

205's are not big enough for a 928 IMHO. They look, well, puny for lack of a better term. And if you can't get at least 245's on the back, you're just wasting time.
