Setting timing on an 84 Euro
My car is not far from all systems 100 percent working. Today I went to set the timing but noticed the timing didn't change as I moved the distributors one way or the other. The light works great and is one with a dial. I understand I set it at 3000 rpms. But if nothing changes...

The twin dizzy body should have marks on it that the rotors should point to when everything is else is lined up correctly. If they are off the marks, you need to remove it and turn them back or forward about 10 deg until they line up when installed.

Thanks must be O.K as the car idles nice and smooth. I used caps and rotors for a 944. The rotors screw in place so there is not a way to move them. P.S A guy down the block from me back in 1981 had a 928 convertible

the timing is set by the computer other than having all of the timing marks lining up and the twin dizzy marks lining up dont try to adjust the timing

Get the caps lined up correctly with the marks and let the computer do the rest.
Thanks for confirming it for me.
