Bowden cable - where does it go to?
Good day all. Another day in the garage and another question.
Thanks to Rennlist and Tony's website http://members.rennlist.com/v1uhoh/underthe.htm I found the bowden cable on the throttle linkage. (Also found that I do not have a cruise control cable so that is step 1 why it doesn't work)
But, my question. My bowden cable's adjuster is screwed in all the way, to the extent that the lockout is just dangling on the cable. Even so I can still move the cable up and down about 8mm.
Where does the cable lead to and can you adjust it at the other side?
Thanks

Wow. Thank link is awesome. Anyone have anything like this for an 86? Not being too much of a mechanic and only a year with my 928, this would help tremendously.

The bowden cable for the cruise control goes from where you found it up top to a vacuum controlled actuator in the fender behind the L Driver's wheel. To access remove wheel, wheel well liner (the one between the wheel and the front door).
Attached is a PET image of the parts in question. When my cable snapped up top and I replaced it, I don't remember an adjustment possibility at the proximal end in the actuator but that was a while back.

svk,
I tried uploading the WSM pages for your cruise control/bowden cable issue, but wasn't able to upload the jpeg (?). If you do not have an WSM google 'canell 928' and find your way to the WSM pages you need.
