With the correct filter only costing $7 including the drain plug seal why would you consider anything else?

I think I still have the last Mann filter that came off my car... going to cut it open and examine it now!

I was happy when I looked in the storage cabinet in the garage and saw that I had bought an extra one Roger.
when I can, I will stock up on a few items that have been depleted.
$7 bucks, I pay that for a booster juice. (protein and fruit shake)

whats interesting is quality filters actually WORK....in my current race 928 I pull samples and sent them in to determine when I am going to change the oil..... The iron levels in the oil continued to drop until I changed the oil.......so clearly the filter was working
