Hey Rod, it looks as though our cars are twiners, ask stan about mine we have been on a couple of drives together, he is a great guy and knows his stuff when it comes to 928's. If you ever bring your car to SLC or i go to Co. lets do a drive together and get some pics of our cars, mine has dark green interior as well .

Yes very nice, Tony.

Look at the comparison of Doug's and Tony's euro's, the rear tires. That 11 inch wheel really fills in the space the way it should have been. The stock wheels never did, they look like temporary spare tires. I am in the same boat currently and will upgrade to wider ones, perhaps new phone dials;

2 great examples

This would be a good master thread for Euro's. We have pics of some of the nicest, with the unicorn of 928's, Tony's 86 16V above and here is a shot of my intake and the butt, 85 euro;

Any info on how it was imported?

Looks like it has the special sand trap intake tubes.

Nice looking car.

Thanks danglerb,
I'm not sure about how it was impoted but it came through California and was federalized there. The PO lived in UAE for a couple of years and purchased it from his boss that was a Sheikh over the Ministry of higher education.
What are sand trap tubes? How do they differ from std tube?

Did you just purchase it? We discussed it here https://rennlist.com/forums/928-foru...-for-sale.html back when it was on CL. Interesting with the sport seat.

That is my car. The older gentleman in the pictures from that tread is the PO who brought the car here from U.A.E. but he’s not the one I got the car from. That PO sold it to the guy that bought his house as he was moving back east to Michigan. The guy with the house then turned around and sold the car to me and made a couple of bucks flipping it. He had no idea what he had. Lucky me! I was just the other day able to get ahold of the PO that was the second owner and get some of the cars history. He owned it from 1990 till late 2012.

They have a little insert that create a twist to the airflow that then is supposed to throw the heavy sand particles into a catch on the bottom of the tube from what I can remember.

Nice doggy.

Nice doggy.
I'll take a closer look at the tube to see. Had never noticed.

The dog is new to the family, just got fixed and has to wear the cone of shame.
