Default Installing a new radiator

I just got my new rad from Roger (thank you Roger) and found a flat piece of hard rubber about 12 to 14 inches long by 1.5 inches by 1/8in. that fell out when I pulled the old one. Does anyone know where it goes ? Does it just lay on the ledge under the radiator? It 's a 88 s4 auto.
Thanks, Doug.

that rubber strip is glued to the bottom edge of the transmission oil cooler,
Clean the surfaces well with acetone, then glue it back on with some Weldwood contact cement

Thanks Stan. Would it be advised to put anti-seize on the fittings?

yes to adding anti seize to the fittings,
try to get some on the inner edge collars of the lines as well,
so the B nut wont seize to the line
