Default Supercharger kit for sale

Selling my Vortech Supercharger kit from my S3. This kit made 370 hp/344 tq at the wheels on my 85 at 6 psi. Kit is a straight bolt on for S3's (1985 - 1986.5) and will fit S4's with some slight mods. Here are the details:

Vortech V2SQ polished supercharger head unit
FAST bracket with dedicated manual tensioner
FAST crankshaft pulley
Custom alternator and power steering pulleys
K&N filter set up to go in passenger side fender well
9" puller fan, bracket and thermo switch
BEGI adjustable FMU
Pressure switch to trigger LH open loop under boost
Custom LH and EZF chips for S3
Home made S3 MAF clamp
Bosch blow off valve
AEM wideband O2 gauge with sensor
Autometer boost gauge
75 deg thermostat (new)
75 deg fan thermostat (new)

I had to leave the oil sandwich adapter on the car as I tried to remove it and it was on too tight. I have a new one on order and I will include it with the kit.

Things the buyer would need to do would be put in a drain back to the oil pan from the supercharger (most have an easy to remove block off plate that can be drilled/tapped and add a 1/2" hose barb). Also would need some sort of crankcase ventilation (Provent recommended). The 9" fan that is included has a loose bushing. I would recommend getting a high CFM 9" puller to replace it.

S4 owners would need to adjust the intake piping slightly and possibly add larger injectors/Sharktune. The FMU is currently adjusted for an S3 with 24 lb injectors and ran 11-1 AFR at full boost. The FMU will work in an S4 but the fuel pressure would have to be increased to compensate.

Asking $2800 for everything, buyer pays shipping.

I've sat in this car and it was faaaaast. Seen the complete setup and it is very well sorted out. Took Ted years to figure out the right combination. At $2800 this is a screaming deal.

Bummer. Didn't see this post until now. I was thinking of adding a supercharger to my rebuild. Oh well.

Since you have a 89 you can get a brand new Rotrex kit for just $1100 more. A Supercharger is well worth it if you want to bring your car back to modern standards.

Sadly a 1993 GTS is the worst candidate for boost due to weak rods.

It will be a couple months until I complete this. I need to get the provent system and a puller fan. I'm planning "modest" power and I'll try to write and photograph as I go. I'm a pretty methodical planner so I won't go in until I'm ready on all points.

AS usual all reciepts will go in to the " do not add up folder".

As a side note my choice was this or sell the car I've spent almost 6 years sorting and get a 2004 z06. I reached my decision in traffic when a women in a new mercedes rolled down her window and said she loved old 928's. She and her husband never see them anymore. 3 cars in front of me was a new yellow 911 turbo. She just drove by him. 911's and Corvette's are everywhere but a 928 just has something timeless.
