Update. that 1980 US 928 that everyone said was worthless and beyond repair sold this week for nearly 4k. It is amazing what some body work can do.
I have decided to abort the SBC concept for my 1984 Euro. It is currently running, and is about to go in for a full resto mod.

I pulled the gas tank in the euro, and it was filled with sludge, I just ordered a new fuel pump and filter. I am guessing that it will run even better now.

it never made it past black primer. I put it on craigs list and let it sit there. eventually, I found a guy who knew how to paint and was in love with it. For what its worth...slow as it was, it ran really well after some work.
New fuel pump and filter on the way for the Euro. The euro sat in a field for 2 years...before that though, it must have been garaged. I say this because all of the under hood fittings (ac lines, etc) are still shiny.
I should have it dialed in nicely one the new pump gets here. When it turns over, it sounds SOOOO much meaner than the 80 US did.
