Car Seats as office chairs

Maybe its just preference but I like sitting "in" the chair rather than "on"
I think having it balanced makes the difference. If it felt tippy rearward then you would really notice the higher front of the seat and I can see where it might make it feel awkward. Also, without the rails on it my feel reach the floor fine. So that also probably helps.
Not the best shot of the chair base but you can see it doesn't look awkwardly rearward. But the platform of the chair base is almost to the back edge of the seat.
