Replacing hood rls cable- latch?
Good morning,
I've read several threads on the hood release cable.
I have the new cable and sheath and am planning to route the whole thing instead of just using replacing the wire insert. To do so, do I need to drill out the rivets at the latch in order to free the captured cable? Its the 86.5...

Yes just drill out the rivets. They are very soft so it's an easy job.
I got new rivets from Porsche using info in PET but they are standard (metric) size so plenty of other/cheaper sources too.
