Default no pwer to electric mirrors

Is there a fuse for the electric mirrors? I've checked all the wires for the toggle and four way switches with the ignition on and doesn't appear to be any power to the switches. I assumed the power would be the white or white with red stripe wire. I could check the wire diagram in the WSM but I'll admit I'm not real great wit wire diagrams. I checked the fuse panel chart and didn't see anything labeled for the mirrors.

most likely culprit is the rocker switch try snapping it side to side then try the mirrors.
If you try to take this switch apart do it inside a plastic bag so you wont lose the parts.
the switch gets water in it and then corrodes and then wont pass a signal

That was my first thought. But there doesn't appear to be any power to the switch. Do you know which wire is the hot lead to those switches? Per the wire diagram it shows two fuses for the remote controlled outside mirrors S18 and S9. Are those inline fuses and where would they be located. as I said before I'm not real good at wire diagrams. Pretty sad for a guy whose dad was an electronics tech.

snap the switch a few times left to right, right to left,
while pushing the direction toggle hat,
also make sure the harness is plugged into the hat switch.
It could also be possible that the wire is damaged in the door loom,
take a peek and see this requires door panel removal.

Also not sure about this,
but if you have mirro/ seat memory then you may need to resolder the relay board its bolted to the one of the seat bottoms

Art,
In looking at the Wiring Diagram for your 86, it looks like there is a white/red wire that goes to Plug Socket F14 at the CE Board which feeds the power to the mirror adjuster. On the back of the CE Panel the corresponding wire to F14 should have an inline fuse. When working at the CE panel disconnect the ground strap in the rear hatch. I am not sure of the amperage, but it is probably low.

Got it. Fuse 12. Thanks Stan. But it appears my four pole switch is bad. I only get movement one direction on both mirrors.

I'll have to pick some up. I'm sure it's cheaper than a new switch.
