Indiana Jones of tools
Anyone following my restoration post will recall the discussion about diffing into my dads old tool chests....
Quick overview...Dad retired about 10-12 years ago....moved from NC to FL....gave me all his tools...being grown, I had my own, so his went into a storage building. Sometime during storage, a tree fell on the back of the shed and collapsed it, this was not visible from the front or sides of the shed. It took me about 6 months to notice it, at which time a lot of rainwater got onto the tool chests. I fixed the shed, but saw multiple snakes, and got out....
Dad was a German car mechanic in the 70's before becoming a machinist, and taking a factory job to provide better bennies for his family.
Fast forward about 5-years...I went all archeological today, and emptied the storage sheds at my old house...so far I have thrown out about 25# of tools that were too far gone, got about 25# in a bucket for soaking in WD40, and about 1000# of tools still to dig through, along with (2) rolling tool chests, which are very salvageable...
I have pics, but my router is broke...every time I try to upload, I lose internet...they were supposed to come replace it today, but they did not show (F'n Windstream)
