I'm turning a 928 engine block into a coffee table, much like the one on TopGear, and I was hoping someone might have 4 used pistons and connecting rods that I might have for the project. They don't need to be perfect, just not damaged or scratched. I will have them soda blasted and powder coated once they're welded to the base of the block.

Why would it matter if they are scratched?

 

Aesthetics only, size doesn't really matter as they're going underneath the block, not into it.

 

Maybe have 1 of each piston?

 

For a proper engine block coffee table, you really need a V12. A V8 will look like it was made from a run of the mill, pushrod engine.

 

Actually, it looks about right for the space I have. I just need to raise it up about 4 inches. I'll try to post a picture when I get the glass cut for it.
