My gas filler cover doesn't have a stop position when opened. The result is paint chipping on the corners of the cover and the body as it opens too far. When I take a look at the hinge there is no kind of stopping mechanism, but it doesn't look like a part is missing either. I was not able to find its mechanism in the workshop manual. What part is missing to prevent it from opening to far?

There is supposed to be a little plastic stop that sits on the hinge.

I think it's this part number 928 504 326 02
