Vinyl wrapped 928
Has anyone ever wrapped there shark in these vinyl's that are out there (perhaps matte black) or seen one done? I saw a 911 wrapped in flat black and it looked pretty good.

I have used a spray can of this stuff on my motorcycle helmet and will be doing my whole bike in it. I like it. Haven't gotten to do much durability testing but it's supposed to be pretty tough stuff once cured and if everything was prepped right.

I tried to wrap my front bumper on the 928 with a complete fail. Too many tight curves and too little skill. I also wrapped the lower part of my hood on my 968 and that turned out great. Lesson was that if you are going to install yourself make sure it is something very flat and easy.

May I ask where you bought the spray and what the cost was?

no pita, did it with the wheels on the car, just wash and dry the surface to be coated, used index cards inside the slots to block overspray, and taped off the tire, (got a little overspray on the tire, but it will peel off when cured.) I used 3 cans on 4 wheels, $7 a can at Lowes. Ran with it for 6 months, no chips, or any peeling. just wash with soap and water.

with the spray, the trick is to start with 2 light tack coats, then can go heavier coats. it is thick and looks textured at first, but it stays solvent for a long time and will flow out. allow at least 10 minutes between coats, 1 wheel took about 6 or seven coats to look right. sounds like a long time, but doing all 4 wheels at the same time, you get dizzy going around the car.
