The wheels on the black car are factory option from a ~2002 911. There is one other 928 I've seen them on, Don T's car on the east coast. They are 17" with barely adequate offset for street driving.

The white GTS was Keith Widom's baby. He had those wheels custom made for the car, and to my knowledge that is the only set. His are finished aluminum, while the ones on my black car are painted.

This picture was taken about 8 years ago at a timing belt party/clinic at my home near Los Angeles. The black car in the garage belonged to Ron Perry at the time, is now with Jeff Spahn. The blue one belonged to Rolf R., now belongs to a member in the Fresno area. Keith's car was sold a year or two ago.

That was a day that will live in SoCal 928 infamy.... All the people (besides the photographer) were busy breaking off waterpump bolts in the block of the black '90 in the garage.

Thanks for the insight dr bob, so do you still have these on your car? If so can you post a full side pic of the car? Also what are the offsets?

Thanks Again

I think the wheels on the black car are an all fitment Porsche wheel that date at least 10 years ago. They look much better in person they can be had in 18" or 19".

They are called RH RS wheels when in 3 piece split rim form, i am sure of that.
The 3 piece version is even nicer.
They can be found with the correct offset for a 928 at PERFORMANCE WHEEL SUPPLIES in the UK.
PWS reconditions used wheels and they're prices are very good.
They used to cost around 1600 pound/set used. their Tel+44 1253 347984

they were fitted to 993S and 996 Turbo varients IIRC. Nice wheel in person.

Offsets are -55 mm. They are still on the car, side view is my avatar picture. I'm away from my office right now so no access to the original pics. Back in a week or so.
