Default Oil leak at front of engine bay

I am in the midst of my first TB/WP job (ahhh!!!) and so far I have been able to figure everything out by following the guides without too much problem, but I'm sure that will all change soon enough.

One thing that I found as I took off all of the cam gear covers is that I have a really messy oil leak from the top/front of the engine area. I could always see the results of this leak from underneath, but I always attributed the mess to the oil pan gasket. While that could certainly be leaking as well, there is a leak coming from the top of the engine bay. It seems to be coming from the top of the oil hose that goes vertically from the engine to the oil pan. I thought that the hose was probably cracked at the top, but upon inspection there doesn't seem to be any cracks on it. And the metal part that the top of the hose slides onto is dry, which probably wouldn't be the case if oil was leaking out of it. There is definitely a leak around there though, as there is a pool of oil directly underneath as can be seen from the picture below. Where do you think this leak is coming from? Could it still be coming from that hose? Or do you think it's coming from the seam where the arrow is pointing? I'd like to both clean up the results of the leak and stop it from leaking in the future before I button everything back up.

Thanks as always for your help!

It's likely coming from the oil filler gasket area. Very common.
Mine had pools of oil in the front top of the area at the front of the engine.
Usually done as part of the top end refresh with the water bridge , but quite doable on it's own.
Lots of info here about the issue.

Thanks Rob! Good to know that the leak isn't something too catastrophic. I guess it's time to call Roger and make yet another order.

see if you can fit a small swivel socket 10mm on the bolts that hold the fill tube they might need to be tightened
