The locks will work on your 79, if you have the alarm system on your shark.

My passenger side works but my driver side doesn't (it locks but not with electric) so if i buy what is shown on the picture, i should be able to find a piece that will replace what mine is missing or broken? Is that a complete set for both doors that if i want to swap the whole thing - i can? Thanks

Sorry, my question was...is that a complete set? Can i do a swap since mine is a 84 as well? And how would you know that everything works? was it off the car that was working? If so i will take them.

Yes, everything work, with no issue, it's a complete set, came off a 1984 928S porsche, both keys have lights.
