Valve compressor tool

I do, was looking for the pic in another thread that covered this already as there are different tools that work. Note: you will also need to make a "tube" w/ slots out of Schedule 40 tubing to reach/press down into the Valve recess to remove the valve keepers. This has also been covered w/ measurements, I think I built mine based on one that Tony made.
Please try some searches too.

Took a bit of searching, here is the one I made.
Note: remember to keep the cut outs minimal as this will be under Valve Spring pressure and it needs to be strong (schedule - 40 CPVC, not pvc).
Also using the Plastic CPVC keeps you from scraching the Tappet guides.

Hope this helps,

I had a super tough time getting my valves out. I used a loaner tool from parts store. Did not work. No bought a studier one. Did not work as it kept slipping off of the springs. I bought the c- clamp style did not work.
What I finally did was to take apart the screw down type and connect it to a very large c-clamp. This worked great. Just have to make sure it's on Center.

I used a drill stand with powerdrill in it(not connected to power). A large 1/2" socket with extension into the power drill, and 1/4 cut out of the socket to access the half moons. Last time I used this was for a 356 engine so not sure if this will work on a 928 engine

If anyone wants the best valve compressor for head-off use, there's a nice looking Snap-On CF-700 on Ebay at an excellent price. I have one, it's the shizznit.
