Bosch Intercooler pump mounting
I got the Bosch 0 382 022 002 pump used on the Cobras. The question can I mount it above the water line of the reservoir? No where can I find any spec on it pulling a negative head.
Thanks for help.

I have mine in the front wheel well, just out of reach of the swinging headlight assembly. If i recall its wired to the power window circuit so it shuts off when you open the door.

Tony, I saw a picture of your pump install a while back and that looks good. I was also thinking of mounting it where the charcoal cannister is. Unfortunately, I did some testing and my pump is a cetrifugal and needs to be located below the reservoir waterline. As long as the reservoir (windshield washer) is pretty full I am ok but if it get low the water line would drop lower than the pump intake and the circulation would stop. Did you run the feed hose inside the top of the wheel well?

My tank is a custom aluminum one in the fender, but no, the hose runs from the bottom along the "frame rail" where it is protected a bit and snakes by the lower control arm and into the area where the headlight is.

On the passenger side there is a lot of room there right in front of the wheel - and low. You can make even more room if you relocate the horns and their attachment boom a little.
