Good luck with this, sounds like fun. I had a top cover on my car with the local auto club (recovery, motels etc if it breaks down), did first long trip interstate, no problems. A month later, doing a local circuit to keep things in good order, top radiator inlet breaks off, and I have to get flat bedded home..Hopefully good preparation will ensure you dont have any problems.

Arizona Beer Week kicks off with the 13th Annual Arizona Strong Beer Festival, held at Steele Indian School Park in Phoenix on February 16th, 2013. Although strong beers (those with high alcohol content) are the focus at the festival, a huge variety of craft beers — as well as specialty styles and unique, just-for-this-event brews — are made available to festival-goers, who will receive a commemorative four-ounce tasting glass and 15 tasting tickets for the price of admission. And because food and beer just naturally go together, there will be plenty of top-notch food vendors on hand, serving up tasty eats that wash down well with frosty suds. Live music will keep the atmosphere rockin’. Presented by The Arizona Craft Brewers Guild.

Happy to offer assistance in any way. Just PM me if interested. Offer is sincere.
Where is the car located? Might be really smart to have Dan and Yolanda of Exotic Motorwerks (Phoenix 928 knowledgeable super techs) give the car a once over before heading out on such a long sojourn across vast empty spaces.

Just bring drinking water in the desert the car will be fine.
Last June, I took Amtrak from Philly to Va to buy my '83 S, forgot my cell phone, Realized as i got onto the train. Had to remind myself i didn't have a phone at all in the early 90s it'll be fine and it was.
When i got home at 2am my wife was laughing that Risky Business was on TV and she watched it while waiting.

Just spoke with risaac928. I'll pick him up at the airport and bring him back to Casa de S4ordie for the night. Tomorrow I'll shuttle him to get the car and perhaps follow him over to meet sstrickstein tomorrow for a quick once over.
