Default Help with wheel fitment

Hi guys, sorry to bother you all with this but I have a chance for a good buy if they will fit. There are two options.

The first are 18" Turbo twists 8 x 18 et50 and 11 x 18 et45

The second ones are 19" fronts 19x8 et45 rears rd 19x11et52. I like the loks of these the mostbut am afraid of the ride.

I am on the road with just my tablet and just typing this is pure hell for an old man with arthitis. My shark is an 86.5 and the rear wells have not been rolled. (yet).

Since buying these will deplete my toy fund for a while, I really need to make a good decision.

Any and all help will be appreciated.

Cheers,

I would go with neither,

The offsets are not that great.

Get a nice set of Carrera III rims front 18x8 ET58 rear 18x10 ET57
These are the best rims (fitment wise) for the 928 short of custom offset rims which will set you back between 3-4k for just rims

Ok, found one more that looks pretty good:

Front Size 19X8.5 Offset +55

Rear Size 19X10 Offset ET +67

These looks like they might fit from looking at others. What do you think? Simon, what offsets are yours? What tire size are you running?

Thanks,

Front Rim 18X8 offset 59; Tire 225/40-18 should be able to run a 235 without issue
Rear Rim 18X9 offset 43; Tire 265/35-18

They fit with no modifications. the rears just clear the fenders with the S spaces in place.

Tell me more about this sale at Tire Rack, The best I found there was the 17" Torque Thrusts for 167.88 and 179.00 for rears. I would leap on 125.00 so, if you are serious, please post a link.

Cheers,

Stan, I love those in black for my black car with red calipers. Migt have to purchase the rims, then sell my perfect chrome manhole covers to buy the tires. What are the 16x7 and 16x8 factory on my 86,5 worth? Any offers out there.? the crome is almost perfect and the wheels are nice. I am thinking of getting the 86.5 ready for resale aftr it is finished. I still have this crazy need for another s4.

Cheers,

fbarnhill,

the 86.5 was 16x7 on all 4 corners factory.

The average price is $400 that I have seen, but you might get $500-600 if you find a really keen or crazy person.

Best to list them (sans tires) on a VW board.
