Any interest in a 928 engine stand adapters?

Thanks for the feedback. Did you have any problems with the gear mechanism?
Seems like a lot of happy customers with the HF stands. I found a test where Hot Rod Magazine did a test on the HF stands and all of them held up well past their weight limits. The 750lbs stand didn't start to fail until 2200lbs was put on it and it still didn't drop the engine. I'm strongly considering the HF 1000lb stand for now as it adds a 4th wheel for stability and from what I have read so far is really needed. Below is the Hot Rod link if anyone is interested.

That is an old thread resurrection. I still have an engine on that stand with the adapter. Going many years strong.
The engine stand ended up being the biggest issue. With the extended adapter, the stand itself is not stable for wrenching. Its just too heavy and too far forward from the center. I intended on looking at making an extension kit to move the front wheeled section of the stand farther out, but never got that far.
I do have a plate adapter that bolts to that stand and does work well, but you do not get any stand-off for clutch or flexplate assembly.

I do have the Jegs rebranded stand at the ready.

Just the flat Sunnex stand to 928 bellhousing adapter? I know I have one of those laying around, but could waterjet some more.
I also do have a spare factory engine holder I am not using, but do not have the bench adapter.

I just need the engine holder. Got plenty of stands. I would buy either the factory engine holder or your flat stand to Sunex holder. Whichever you want to part with.

It was determined they were too expensive to make. The prototype is happily supporting an engine on a stand (been stress testing now for several years), and if the supply of new/used factory parts dries up, I can order a batch.
I understand the current used price for the factory tool is in the mid $200 range, and cutting the steel alone was more than that for the prototype. I would guess that after the welding and powdercoating... etc that these would be in the $350 range to make in low volume which would make a retail price of less than half the list of the new factory tool.
Will look into making them again when all the used tools get snatched up and the value rises to justify the order.
Thanks for the interest.
